Troubleshooting NetSuite
If the status above is green but you're still having problems, the issue is almost always local. Work through the relevant section below.
I can't log in to NetSuite
- Confirm your account URL — every NetSuite account has a unique subdomain (e.g. 1234567.app.netsuite.com).
- Check Caps Lock and that your password hasn't expired (NetSuite forces a reset every 90 days by default).
- After 6 failed attempts the account is locked for 30 minutes — wait, or ask your admin to unlock it.
- Clear cookies for *.netsuite.com or try a private/incognito window.
- If using 2FA, verify the time on your authenticator device is in sync (TOTP codes drift if the clock is off).
- Ask your admin whether IP address restrictions are enabled on your role.
NetSuite is slow or unresponsive
- Test from a second network (mobile hotspot) to rule out your office firewall or ISP routing.
- Disable browser extensions — ad blockers, password managers and grammar tools are common culprits.
- Check Setup → Customization → Scripts for SuiteScripts hitting governance limits.
- Review heavy saved searches — joins on transaction lines and unindexed custom fields scale poorly.
- Confirm your account data center region against latency from your office (status.netsuite.com lists DC affected).
An integration or REST/SOAP call is failing
- Check the response code: 401 means token/credentials, 403 means role permissions, 5xx means server-side.
- Confirm Token-Based Authentication is enabled and the integration record is active.
- Inspect the SuiteCloud Processors queue — bulk jobs may be backlogged before the error surfaces.
- Review the Web Services usage log (Setup → Integration → Web Services Usage Log).
- If errors started suddenly with no code change, check the status banner above — incidents often affect APIs first.
A specific page or record won't load
- Try the same record from a different role — many errors are permission-driven.
- Check the system notes on the record for a recent script deployment that may have introduced a bug.
- Open browser DevTools → Network: a red 500 response usually points to a custom script error in the Execution Log.
- If only one user is affected, compare their browser, role and subsidiary access to a working user.
